Such strong, healthy little chicks. I got 25 with a couple of extra. The assortment seems good too. I appreciate the little catalog they came with. It will help me identify later.
I was expecting them tomorrow but when I checked the tracking they were available this morning. I didn’t wait for the mail to call so I got them the morning of the second day.

July 26 2023. Ordered 15, received 16. All 16 arrived alive and healthy. 2 weeks in and all are doing very well. We look to have received 4 Barred Rock, 4 Rhode Island Red(or production red), 4 Buff Orpington and 4 Black Australorp. A nice mix of colors.

Ordered 15 pullets and received 16 promptly on 3/15/23. All arrived healthy and active which is a testament to how well they were packaged by Cackle and handled by the USPS. The breeds included Delawares, Buff Orpingtons, Black Sex Link, Barred Rock, Rhode Island Reds and I think Cinnamon Queens (not quite sure yet). They’re now 4 weeks old and doing great. I’m super excited about the breed selection and very please with my order.

I ordered 15 heavy assortment females and 15 rainbow assortment females. I received 35 chicks in total, and all are females! I have Dominique, Barred Rock, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, Auracauna and/or Americauna, one Easter Egger, and few others that I’m not sure of yet, but all beautiful, healthy chickens! They should start laying eggs any time now! I highly recommend getting assortments if you’re not sure where to start!

Ordered 50 for the last ship day in 2020. Received 55 happy and HEALTHY chicks. All were in great shape and are laying now. Decided to keep 5 Dominique hens and 6 Buff Orphington hens, sold the other 44 and if I didn’t have 70 chicks scheduled for early to mid June I would be ordering this special again

Ordered 15 on 3/22/21 and received 18 on 4/7/21, all alive and happy plus they got here way sooner than the estimated delivery! Three different breeds, I’m assuming Dominique’s, Bielefelder’s and Cinnamon Queens. They’re so cute and adjusting well to their brooder box! Very pleased and would highly recommend.

I ordered the 100 heavy laying hen special and my babies are beautiful. They arrived earlier than expected after I got the email notifying me they shipped. We have guesses as to the breeds but we’ll have to wait awhile to see what they are. I wish I had a list just to narrow it down but I’m happy either way. I’ll definitely be ordering more from you guys.

I ordered the heavy layer special for 4/6/2020 hatch date, 15 of the girls. They arrived on 4/8 all very lively and talkative. There where 18 total. Today is 5/29 all are still alive and growing quickly. We did end up with one rooster which is great! We have 5 silver laced Wyandotte, 5 red birds still not sure what they are, 4 White Rock and 4 Dominique. Very great assortment very happy. Will be ordering from cackle again next year.

Healthy Chicks

Different varieties –
None died
I ordered 20 and got 23. I had a mix of RIR, Wyandotte’s, and Barred Rock. Out of the 23 I had 9 roosters. I got rid of the roosters or ate them. I had one that we called Ricardo that we kept and he’s a bit retarded with a gimp leg. Other than him all turned out great and he is ok just a crooked leg.

We ordered a mixed batch from cackle hatchery and they accidently got taken by another person whose order came the same day. I can hardly believe that they replaced the entire order at no cost to us even though it was in no way their fault. This happened last year, and this year will be our third year of ordered both meat and layers from them and we have always been very pleased. You can even speak to a person when you call.
