20 beautiful very boistrus healthy babies arrived this morning, they allimmediatly drank water and are even eating food, the males where marked with a green stripe, I will absolutly be ordering more from Cackle Hatchery they are awesome, love our little babies.

Fantastic variety in the box – only lost one (so far one week in), and it was the only Barred Rock. While sad for the loss of the cute little guy (already named him Mohawk), so pleased with both the variety and health of the other chicks. Roo is a RIR, one female RIR also included in box. Ten healthy, adorable chicks arrived this morning in spite of the horrible weather we’ve all been experiencing. They are eating and drinking, then conking out for several minutes before eating and drinking again. I needn’t have worried about the chicks traveling from MO. all the way to WA. Great Assortment
This is my first time ordering chicks online and am thrilled with the entire process! The prepper assortment is perfect for farm life, laying hens and a rooster. The chicks arrived is great condition and have done amazing! I received some of the standard farm varieties such as Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Buff Orphingtons. I also was surprised to get Light Brahmas as well as a Bielefelder Rooster, a breed I never heard of but he is a perfect rooster for a small flock. Thanks again!!

Wonderful chicks
3 months on, we still have all our chicks! They are healthy and growing up. All are friendly and happy. The rooster I believe is a road island red, and he is getting his tail feathers in and is also pretty social and good with the kids. My favorites are my 2 Brahma hens. They are starting to pull ahead size wise and are beautiful. They have integrated well with our small flock of older hens.

Only 6 little ladies survived the shipping but is was of no ones fault but the weather. Cackle Hatchery was awesome and gave a small refund and condolences for our deceased little ones. I have no clue what’s in the warming box as in breed, but they all seem happy and eating. Cheers. :0)

Near as I can tell, I received 2 RIRs, 2 Orpingtons, 2 Barred Rocks, a couple of Easter Eggers, and maybe a Brahma chicken…possibly some other breed. But all are healthy and eating. I wanted a variety, and that’s what I got. A+

I ordered them on Saturay night and they arrived at my post office on Thursday! I received 10 chicks and they are healthy and acclimating well. They were drinking warm water from a gravity feeder within 10 mins of arrival and eating chick feed within 5 minutes. I am impressed! Thank you Cackle Hatchery!
