Description
The White Broad Breasted Turkey is the most common of commercial broad breasted strains of eating Turkeys on the market today. The White Broad Breasted Turkey is also one of the largest of the breeds and generally are not able to reproduce very well. The parent stock are artificially inseminated in order to insure excellent hatchability here at Cackle Hatchery®. They also have a shorter lifespan than the heritage breeds as they are primarily bred for meat production. They have an excellent feed to meat conversion ratio and Cackle Hatchery® currently uses the bloodlines of Aviagen Turkeys, Inc. Most Americans at Thanksgiving time are sitting down to a table with a White Broad Breasted Turkey. The general White Turkey was admitted into the American Standard of Perfection in 1874.
We can not ship turkeys to Hawaii.

Another amazing order
I ordered several breeds of turkeys as well as a few chicks to help guide the poults. My post office left the babies in the ac all day before calling me. And those birds are still healthy and happy. I received several free again, which is absolutely amazing. Can’t recommend ordering from here enough.

The BEST!!
My birds arrived before schedule, all alive and active.
Appreciate the extra, and they are healthy .

Broad Breasted White Turkey
I have always been very successful with cackles hatchery. I have been ordering turkeys from them for years to show at the fair. We have had no leg trouble with these guys and they always are alive and healthy at arrival. They are also one of the very few to offer turkeys before April which is wonderful!

Great
These were some of the healthiest and robust birds we ever have gotten. The chickens are laying. The cornish-cross grew quickly, and are oh, so tasty. We also had one of the turkeys and it was fabulous too. When we need more birds, we will come back to you. We tell our neighbors how great you are too.

These are great!
Perfect for Thanksgiving meat. Up to weight.

A bit unhappy
I buy all of my birds from Cackle and have always been very pleased with the outcome. My first time with these pults and have had many leg issues. I lost a big quantity right in the first few weeks. I don’t think I will be getting anymore broad breasted turkeys. This particular breed are prone to this deficiency and my batch was no exception!
On the bright side the ones remaining are indeed very friendly and always hungry. They need a lot of feed!

happy healthy turkeys!
I know it may be weird, but i wanted to save a few meat turkeys & give them a happy, free-range life. I’ve successfully done this with cornish-x’s, and they’ve been fine so i figured, why not? i can handle a turkey. right?
This was my first time having turkeys, and so i read up on them alot before buying any.
i read that the broad-breasted can be prone to a few health problems, so to give them the best chance, i knew i had to get really healthy chicks, right from the start.
I didn’t know of any better place then Cackle, in term of how healthy their chicks always are. I’d ordered many chick from them before and their turkey poults were no exception. All came very lively & healthy. I was overjoyed to see 2 extra in the box!!
I can’t get over how friendly and accepting they are of people – they’re not like baby chickens, they just walk right up to you and trust you immediately.
I’m having lots of fun with them – they’re getting lots of pets & treats & they’re going to have a nice free-range life here on the farm when they get old enough to outgrow the brooder.
thank-you cackle, you’ve made my day! <3

Huge Turkeys
I started with 4 turkeys, two white and two black. I ended up with one white male that was 33 pounds on harvest and one black female at 22 pounds on harvest at 8 months of age! I will gladly buy again!
Wyatt’s Fair Turkey –
Awesome
They are awesome birds! We bought 12 turkeys for my sons fair project! My sister in law and her friend and my son ended up taking turkeys, they won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place! We did loose two baby’s right at the beginning but that happens! We are very pleased with the birds we received and will purchase them again next year!

Successful 2016
Thank you for a successful 2016! I ordered speckled Sussex, Wyandot, Easter eggers, and red comets. They all arrived alive and continued to thrive. They are active layers now and just beautiful. In July I ordered 8 broad breasted white turkeys and they arrived alive and ready to eat and they didn’t stop eating until they were butchered week before Thanksgiving! Sold everyone and my customers raved of the wonderful tasting birds. Thank you and I will continue to order.

You’re going to need a bigger oven
Got 17 healthy BBW chicks in June 2016. Kept a hen and a tom. The toms live weight at butcher in November was 53 lbs and dressed out to 41 lbs. The hen dressed out to 21 lbs.

Remarkable specimen
We ordered the Hatchery Surprise, and lucky for us, we received two BB whites! We received them beginning of June, and now, three months later, they are the best birds we ever could have asked for. I named them Pete and Repeat (Pete= tom, Repeat= hen). They are the friendliest of the flock. Pete is nosy and always has to be in the center of anything going on. Recently he has learned that he is bigger than anyone else, so he has no problem trampling the others at treat time. Repeat is sweet and docile, she knows she is a pretty girl and gets a little special favor over the others. They both love, and demand cuddles. And smart! Never would have guessed the turkeys would be the favorites.
*Pete and Repeat were on a boat, Pete jumped off, who was left?*

Broad Breasted White Turkey
I ordered 6 Broad Breasted Whites along with 5 French Marans and 4 Cuckoo Maran chicks. Upon arrival one of the turkeys seemed to not be doing well. He/she died within the hour but the other 5 are all healthy and doing well. I also did not receive an extra chic/poult with my order. I am down one less than I paid for but all and all am very happy with my first experience with Cackle Hatchery and will be ordering from them again.

Cackle Hatchery
Just a note to say the chicks arrived just when you said (awesome). They are the healthiest looking chicks we have received yet, no fatalities they are all running around and chirping. Thank you for great and very prompt service. We are looking forward to future business.

Cackle Hatchery
They all arrived yesterday in great health and lots of vigor. By far the best order we have ever received from any hatchery. Thanks

Thank You
I want to thank you for your assistance and help with turkeys that were sent to us on Monday May 19th. Last week for what ever reason half of our shipment of birds was given to me soaked at the post office. I called your center and a wonderful woman was very helpful and did all that she said and read the pamphlet and followed the direction however it was just to much for those poor turkeys, I gave it my all!. She was so kind to talk with and we do appreciated the second delivery. They are all eating and drinking like champs! We look forward to showing the chickens at the local fair and auctioning the turkeys. I will send pictures from this event!
Ryan Arkansas June 2011 –

Thank you so much for the 5 extra poults! Everyone arrived happy and healthy yesterday morning. 1 is struggling but that’s to be expected.
I am very happy with my purchase and you will be hearing from me again next year!
