And then, in early October, Cackle Hatchery sponsors an annual Chicken Festival. Activities include several fun contests with cash prizes, educational seminars, poultry-theme face painting, and lots of drawings for prizes.
During the festival you can tour the hatchery facility, which is otherwise not open to the public during hatching season. However, on any hatch day (usually a Monday or Wednesday) you can watch baby chicks hatch through our viewing window.
