- Considered a rare breed of Turkey, a heritage Turkey and admitted into
the American Standard of Perfection in 1909. Developed in
Pennsylvania and taken to Kentucky with the long rifle. This breed
later was given the name Bourbon Red from it's popularity from Bourbon
County, Kentucky.

used to fill the minimum order of 15 chicks (standard size chick, peafowl chicks
and rare breed chicks), can NOT be used to fill the
minimum for Bantams and guinea orders (turkeys too big and smother
smaller birds). See FAQ and Care Sheet about special baby turkey care.

$2.00 Thermometer with your order of poultry.
Surplus Rare TurkeyThis selection is what ever is left over, it can be only one breed or it can be a mix; but they will be from the following rare breeds:: Bourbon Red, Royal Palm, Blue Slate and Black Spanish. The order is filled with 15 or 20 turkeys from breeds as available. Hatchery Choice
